In the Game

"Call a family meeting! The adventure you're about to embark on is not a solo flight, so gather all the participants (willing and otherwise!). After you explain that you'll ALL be committing to sitting down together daily for 15 minutes, agree on WHEN….. What if no-one else is willing to pray during that time? Then here's your opportunity, gentlemen, to step into your role as "priest" of your home! You're the leader and only stand to win on this one. Grudging participation by your kids will turn into grudging admiration for you. Did your dad ever take time like this just to pray for you? How would it have made you felt? Probably like they're going to!" -- PRAY 15

After several years of research, Hank has compiled a thoughtful, interactive workbook titled "Pray 15." It's geared primarily for men to be used as a group or individual study guide. It offers sound advice and practical suggestions to make prayer a natural, daily habit. It's on-schedule for an early summer publication date. Stay tuned!

On the Field

THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 7, Ed Silvoso, author of "Prayer Evangelism," will be presenting a workshop on June 7 at New Community Christian Church. For more info contact: lmckinney@newcommunitychristian.org

We're still looking for a building to house our offices and warehouse. The warehouse needs to have a wide dock entryway for our freezer. Please email possibilities to Hank at hank@winnministries.org or phone 303-239-9123.

Game Strategy

Almost any Christian can tell you how faith can get you through many troubles…But what about those without faith?  What about the lost, who have no heaven to store treasures in, no Comforter, no Counselor, and no Spirit to stand beside them? And without that, what good is just seeing another day?  That's not living, that's surviving -and the difference is a spiritual one.  Christ said he came that we may have life, and more abundantly.  So while feeding people physical food is a good thing to do - I'm going to go out on a limb and say it is not enough.  We are called to feed spirits, mend souls, and bring the Gospel - which translated literally means "good news."  And we can't do that with a handshake and a brief, pre-printed Scripture.

So what's the "Game Strategy?" We have to get to know someone, be willing to let our guard down and show them our own lives. Tell them about what the Lord has done for us.  Share with them - not only our physical resources, but also our time and spirit. If you've been sitting on the bench, it's time to get BACK in the Game!

The Huddle

Potluck, Praise & Prayer is back! Beginning Friday, June 20, WINN will again be hosting a monthly dinner. Refreshment Stand

YOU still eat lunch on Fridays and WE still serve it! Why not stop by for a visit from noon to 1pm and put the two together? We'd love to have you as our guest at the WINN office at 125 S. Kalamath, Denver.

"I want to thank you for helping Heart & Home to have a successful closing as this chapter in the lives of the staff at H&H moves on to the new stuff God has planned." Their lease ends in July. They have moved some inventory and still have a good selection remaining. All books, bibles, cards, toys and clothing are 20% off. Music is 30% off. Select holiday items are 40% off.

The Cheer

A friend recently shared with me an image that she saw while deep in prayer. She saw a small pile of leaves lifted up and swirled about within a whirlwind. They moved to and fro in a slow, graceful "dance" within the wind. This, she explained, is an image of someone moving within and to the rhythm of the Holy Spirit.

According to the Hebrew calendar, this year Shavuot (Pentecost) begins at sundown June 8 through sundown June 9. This festival is marked by God in momentous ways throughout history. Exactly 50 days after the crossing of the Red Sea, God gave us His commandments and told us how to live. Exactly 50 days after Jesus' Resurrection, He gave us his Holy Spirit and gave us the power to live it. According to God's calendar, something momentous is in the works.

Shavuot can be a time of life-altering changes. Of a time when we'll sense Him lifting us up and bringing order to the chaos in our life. It's a season when we should be more aware than ever of what it means to "live and move and have our being" in Him. It is the time He wants to release something in your life.

Are you living a life surrendered to Him? Can you feel the breeze stirring within your soul? Are you hungry for more? Then be open to living, moving, and dancing within His Presence.
